Definition - ASTROPHYSICS MARS - Mars
Mars is a rocky planet in the inner solar system, approximately 140 million kilometers away from Earth. The Red Planet has an average diameter of about 6,794 kilometers and weighs around 6.42 x 10^23 kilograms. Mars' atmosphere is thin and mostly composed of carbon dioxide, with some nitrogen and argon gases present. NASA's Curiosity rover, launched in 2011, has been exploring Mars since August 2012, collecting valuable data. Scientists believe that Mars had a watery past, with evidence suggesting ancient rivers, lakes, and even oceans once existed.
