Oklahoma City is its capital and largest city, with over 600,000 people calling it home. The state is known for its rich Native American heritage, with more than 35 different tribes having reservations within its borders. Agriculture plays a significant role in Oklahoma's economy, with major crops including wheat, cotton, and soybeans. The state has a unique history, having been admitted to the Union as the 46th state in 1907, following the Land Run of 1889 that opened up the territory to settlement.
