Definition - PHYSICS - Motion
Motion is a change in an object's position over time. Object motion requires both velocity and acceleration to exist. Velocity is the rate of change of an object's position. Acceleration occurs when an object's velocity changes suddenly. Inertia keeps an object in motion unless acted upon externally.
