Mass is a measure of an object's resistance to changes in its motion. Mass is different from weight, which depends on gravity and location. In physics, mass is often represented by the symbol "m" and units kg. The more massive an object is, the more energy it takes to accelerate it. Mass affects the force of gravity between two objects, making them attract each other.
