In college World Series, bracket refers to the tournament's elimination format structure. Teams are seeded one through eight in the double-elimination bracket system The top four seeds receive a first-round bye in the single-elimination bracket Each team plays until they lose twice or win the championship in the bracket format Winning teams advance to the next round, losing teams are eliminated from the bracket The winner of each game advances, while the loser is eliminated and out of the bracket
