Definition
Charles Tupper was a Canadian politician who served as Prime Minister from March to July 1896. He was the leader of the Conservative Party and succeeded John Thompson after his death . Tupper's time in office was marked by controversy over the handling of the Manitoba Schools Question . Despite this, he remained Prime Minister until his own resignation due to ill health .
